F.A.Q.
Every machine we stock — the Didiesse Frog Revolution, Baby Frog and the Spinel professional range — uses the classic 44mm ESE paper pod, the standard of Italian bars and homes. They're perfectly matched with our Caffè Borbone compostable ESE pods, available in five blends including decaf.
The Frog Revolution is the Neapolitan icon — the full-size original, available in five colours to brighten any kitchen.
The Baby Frog packs the same pod espresso into a more compact frame, perfect for smaller kitchens, offices or holiday homes.
Both brew with the same 44mm ESE pods,so you can choose on size and looks alone.
For home use, the Frog Revolution or Baby Frog are ideal.
For offices and small food businesses that need professional-grade output without a full bar setup, the Spinel Pinocchio XL is the step up.
For cafés and high-volume service, the commercial Jessica 2 Group and Jessica 3 Group are built for all-day serving.
No — these are ESE pod machines, a different system from capsule machines. Nespresso® and Dolce Gusto® capsules won't fit. If you already own a Nespresso® Original machine, we stock Caffè Borbone Nespresso compatible capsules so you can enjoy the same Neapolitan coffee.
Not sure what your machine takes? See our Machine compatibility guide.
Brewing capacity. The Pinocchio has one brewing head for making one espresso at once — right for small cafés and busy offices.
The Jessica 3 Group adds a third head for peak-hour, high-volume service. Same Spinel professional build quality in both.
Each pod makes one espresso, so a 50-pack of Caffè Borbone ESE pods is 50 coffees — about three and a half weeks for a two-a-day household.
